Its that time, where every channel is filled with some sort of Halloween special. But I pass all of those cheesy, tv shows/sitcoms that have the actors dress up in stupid costumes. Instead I look at the channels that show classic horror, sci~fi flicks and all of those movies that make you say “what the fuck” out loud.

This year is a bit different since I have all of these random movie channels. One of my favorites is FEARnet on demand. I always wanted to see alot of these small creepy films like Catacombs. And with this channel that offers scary movies non-stop I finally got to watch it! The poster design in its self is really eerie. But the story line was kinda killed towards the end.
I love the concept of the catacombs, ever since reading Poe’s The Cask of Amontillado, I’ve always felt some weird fear of being lost underground with only the dead to act like your walls. Rob Zombie’s House of 1,000 Corpses had a similar effect towards the end - the hallway of dead bodies that led up to Dr. Satan’s lab. Another movie I finally saw was The Devil’s Backbone. First of all - I looove Guillermo del Toro, he is one of my favorite directors. The movie was artsy and made with amazing style but I don’t understand why people think this is such a scary movie. It had more beauty than horror in my opinion. Is that weird to say? Eh watch it and the graphics will amaze you but not scare you.

Oh of course this season Repo! the genetic opera will be in theatres! Finally!! You know how long I’ve been waiting for this movie??? Almost a year! The soundtrack is pretty badass and its produced by Yoshiki from X Japan. Oh I am also looking forward to Wolfman and Fatal Frame.

Okay for those of you who have HBO - there is a new show coming on tomorrow called True Blood. It looks kinda cheesy but then I started to notice ALL the advertising they have been doing for the series. I actually love when a concept becomes so huge its like a campaign! Okay so here is the official site. You can follow one of the “blogger’s” from the show here. If you look around New York you can see their promo posters around the city - this is for Tru Blood, a fictional Japanese drink that is used by the vampires on the tv show.

its pretty great to see they went so far with the posters! But wait there is more! Looking for love with a human or vampire?? You can sign up and find your mate or a one night “fang bang” at Lovebitten!

Of course since the show focuses on how the vampires came out of the coffin that there has been racism against this race - they even have their protective league. American Vampire League uses the tagline - VAMPIRES WERE PEOPLE TOO. And since there is a group that protects Vampires - there had to be one against them. Fellowship of the Sun is like a crazy Christian group that is trying to keep vampires away from mortals.

This series is from the minds of Six Feet Under, which is a show I used to LOVE!! So you can probably expect the same drama, weirdness and dark comedy as SFU.

I really really wish I had HBO so I can see this, hope someone posts episodes on a torrent or streaming somewhere because after looking more into the show, it now looks pretty interesting!

Last week I had my sister Kim over at my apartment and this week I had my sister Kat over. Its so different to have each alone. Especially Kat since we are 8 years apart. When I moved out of my parents’ home she was only 9 or 10. This week was really fun with her - even though she is the youngest she has a caring and almost motherly tone about her. Kim was also fun to have around! She is so laid back I didn’t have to entertain her - she is really similar to myself~!! We had alot of Starbucks together! Because of work I wasn’t able to hang out with them as much, but at night I tried to take them to dinner or out to the Galleria.

I love my sisters so much - I wish they would visit more often! *hinthint* haha Hope you two are reading this!!

So I finally broke down and got a public blog. Hideko totally did everything from the installing and setting up! *loves on her* SO huge thanks to her!!! ;-;This is only a temp layout until I actually take apart WP coding and design my own layout.

So I am involved in a few group projects, including  a group blog/news site called Shattered-Tranquility! Actually I recycled a trashed logo/design…for the new style of S~T.net! Lets just hope all goes well with the update when we are all done! Okay, I am dead tired and I just wanted to actually update on here! Heh….night
